The Elder Nominating Committee, which is constituted by and acts in accordance with the Book of Order, is composed of a representative group of active members of the church. The committee is responsible to establish criteria for the offices to be filled, determine qualifications of potential candidates, choose a slate of nominees, and make a final report to the congregation of those persons found qualified to be nominated to fill vacant active elder positions on the Session. At a called Congregational Meeting, the congregation at large shall have the opportunity to vote on the slate of elder nominees.
