Community of Hope is a new ministry of lay pastoral care under development for our congregation. It was begun by St. Luke's Hospital in Houston as a way to strengthen lay caregivers in their faith and to train and enhance their one-on-one ministry to those in their congregations needing a spiritual friend to walk with them through difficult times of pain or loss or loneliness, etc.
Three people at WPC have received special training as trainers of local care givers through the Community of Hope ministry. These are Pastor Anne, Jim Beall, and Suzette Connell. If you are interested in being trained as a care giver to the membership of WPC or people in the Wimberley Community, contact Anne, Jim, or Suzette for more information. |
