WPC Sunday School Programs for All Ages

Sunday School for all ages is held at 9:45 - 10:45 am each Sunday morning.  There is a class for everyone. Dedicated and experienced teachers, many of whom are teachers in Wimberley schools, lead our adult, youth, and children's classes.

Our nursery teachers work with the youngest of our children in learning simple, Biblical concepts as they play.  Our 4 and 5 year olds are taught a very short lesson which has been written by one of our members, called "Lessons in a Bag," because each lesson and corresponding activity are contained in a bag for each Sunday of the year.

Young Believers (Kindergarten though 5th grade) are taught under units such as "The Lord's Prayer", "The Twenty-third Psalm", and "Fruits of the Spirit". These units last at least a month and 4-5 teachers rotate, using their particular gifts and talents to emphasize the concepts, guided by these Biblical lessons.

Junior High and High School students study scripture and characters of the Bible that build Christian development. Their areas of study change according to the needs and interests of the students.

Two to four adult classes ranging in style and format are offered at various times of the year. The subject matter ranges from Bible study and discussion of topics related to theology and the Christian life to parenting skills and Presbyterianism.

Teachers are recruited on an annual basis. Training is provided for those who have not taught before or who need a refresher course.
